Looking skywards: owls, cuckoos, buzzards, woodpeckers, swallows, jays and many more are regular visitors. We absolutely loved our stay at Little Menherion in Tylda Krow. From the moment we arrived, everything was easy and well thought out. Clear directions, simple parking, and a short walk down to the yurt. Once there, the setting was beautiful. A lovely deck and hammock overlooking a wide meadow, with a pond at the far end, and trees all around. It felt private and really tucked away in nature. Inside, the yurt was cozy and spotless, with a huge handcrafted bed, lovely cotton bedding, fairy lights, and a log burner that made the whole place feel warm and relaxing. There were lots of little individual touches that gave it character. We also loved the record player. We brought some of our own records, and listened to some that were there. It was far better than sticking the TV on, and it really helped us slow down. The eco-friendly touches all felt natural. The compost loo worked well, the shower was lovely, and there was even a little honesty shop with extras if you need them. There's plenty of space to wander, and it's very dog-friendly. We spotted two huge buzzards, a jay, and even an owl one evening. There was also a freshwater plunge pond, cold but refreshing. What really stood out though, was the peace and quiet. No traffic, no background hum. Most of the time the only thing you can hear was the wind in the trees. We stayed during the Harvest Moon, and seeing it through the skylight, lighting up the whole area was unforgettable. It feels properly tucked away, but you're still close enough for a pub meal or evening out. If you're walking around after dark on a darker night, a torch would be handy. We left feeling genuinely rested and relaxed, and we'd happily come back. It's a lovely place to switch off, slow down, and enjoy some real peace and quiet.

A hidden treasure in the middle of everywhere. A wonderful find. A place to purposefully reconnect with yourself and with nature. High luxury craftsmanship throughout the construction down to the smallest details to make your stay memorable. Perfect magical escape for a couple and their (big) dog from outdoor cooking to indoor fires. Very helpful onsite and given recommendations from local butchers to fun days out to explore. Highly recommend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The Log Jam was so peaceful and surrounded by nature, and we loved spotting so many wildlife visitors during our time there. Bernice and Huw are amazing hosts who couldn't have done more for us. They’ve packed the cabin with so many thoughtful touches and gave great recommendations. The Wee Shop was also ideal and stocked with all the essentials. Bernice even went out of her way to bake treats for our dog Vinnie to accommodate his dietary requirements, which was very kind. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area and discovering beautiful, hidden beaches. Vinnie loved his little dedicated dog space under the bed, and he truly didn't want to go home! We will definitely be back again to experience the cabin in the colder months. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a place to rest and recharge, come to Little Menherion. The cabins are beautifully designed, with quality, locally sourced furniture and products (cushions, hammocks, cookwear, toiletries), and in the recent UK heatwave, cool and comfortable. We stayed at Log Jam with our dogs but there was no sign that dogs had previously stayed there. So unless you have an allergy, I would highly recommend this cabin with or without dogs. There are only three cabins on the large site, and the others, also unique and luxurious, were not visible from ours. If you want to explore, there are beaches and loads of towns nearby, but we happily stayed near the site for three full days. There's a massive dog walking scrubby field, a decent pub and cafe within walking distance and the honesty shop on site had everything we needed. Huw and Bernice are the perfect hosts in that they are informative and helpful, and happy to chat if you want to, but they very much leave you to your own devices if you want complete peace and quiet. We have already booked our second stay in the autumn.

Just WOW!!! We had the most fabulous stay for our babymoon, 7 months pregnant and easily accessible. Prefect for really switching off and being present. Bernice and Huw was so friendly and accommodating we couldn't ask for better hosts or a better weekend away. Can't wait to go back!!!

What a wonderful find! If you want somewhere to unwind and recharge amongst the beautiful Cornish countryside, then Little Menherion is the place. Living amongst the trees and cooking on an open fire helps to remind you what life should be like. The cabin was immaculate, cosy and had everything you needed. It’s the perfect place for exploring Cornwall, if you can tear yourself away from the cabin! Bernice and Huw were great hosts, always there for advice or tips on where to go. Thank you, we will be back!

What a great relaxing place just got back from 3 nights in log jam . Great great touches from the hidden door to rise bed where the dogs sleep under you ,storage in the steps leading to the bed. kitchen Stocked tea coffee suger and pots pan etc all we needed Little oven on top the log Brunner where we made fresh bed. Shower room with sink and compass toilet. And fire pit out side. There asked for dogs on leads around the cabins but just a couple of steps from the carpark there where running free. Little site honestly shop. Yes it a track once you trun Of the tarmac road seems narrow but we took our van up there with Ease just drop your speed. Owners are lovely couple and we will be back

Huw and Bernice are exceptional hosts — warm and thoughtful, with an attention to detail that makes you feel genuinely looked after without ever intruding on your privacy. The cabin is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Rustic but luxurious, cosy but perfectly designed for switching off completely. We loved cooking outdoors by the fire, waking to birdsong through the bedroom window, and spending evenings by the wood burner. Even the composting toilet — something we'd never used before — was a pleasant surprise: easy to use and honestly fresher than a regular loo! The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall too. St Ives, the Eden Project, the Minack Theatre, and Mousehole are all an easy drive away, and the free EV charging was a very welcome bonus.

We had a great few days at Little Menherion. We stayed in Log Jam and it was such a relaxing break. The cabin was in a lovely wooded area and had everything you need with a wood burning stove to keep it cosy. We took our dog with us and enjoyed the lovely secluded walks which were part of Little Menherion so ideal for dog walking. We have a reactive rescue dog and he loved it, he also enjoyed the walks to the local pub which was a bonus for us! I would definitely recommend this place if you have a nervous dog as the hosts Bernice and Huw are so accommodating and have experience of rescue dogs. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it!

This was the perfect place for me to escape normal life and recover from a hard year. It's been amazing to have so much quiet and solace to reflect. It's exactly what I was looking for and needed. Log Jam/Little M is perfect in every way. I love the care and attention to details in the cabin. Especially the type-written welcome note. I'll be back again, thank you both xx

We loved our stay in the Log Jam ! The cabin is very cozy and has absolutely everything you would ever need. The spaces are nicely divided and beautifully decorated, and we loved the hidden bedroom ! Angus the Loo was easier to use than expected and not scary at all 🙂 The walk to the cabin is very nice, you are surrounded by peace and quite , the forest is beautiful and sitting outside by the firepit making s'mores is just magical. There is no light pollution so if the skies are clear, you get to see the Milky Way at night ! We wish we could stay longer, thank you Bernice, Huw and Pan for creating such a wonderful place, if we are ever in Cornwall, we will definitely come back !

One of our favourite places to visit! This was our third time visiting Little M and have now tried all 3 of the cabins. Every single one is great I. Their own way. This time we stayed in Log Jam and it was spectacular - so warm and cosy and full of hidden gems! We miss it already and will be back as soon as we can!

It’s the perfect place for exploring Cornwall, if you can tear yourself away from the cabin! Bernice and Huw were great hosts, always there for advice or tips on where to go. What a great relaxing place just got back from 3 nights in log jam . Great great touches from the hidden door to rise bed where the dogs sleep under you ,storage in the steps leading to the bed. kitchen Stocked tea coffee suger and pots pan etc all we needed Little oven on top the log Brunner where we made fresh bed. Shower room with sink and compass toilet. And fire pit out side. There asked for dogs on leads around the cabins but just a couple of steps from the carpark there where running free. Little site honestly shop. Yes it a track once you trun Of the tarmac road seems narrow but we took our van up there with Ease just drop your speed. Owners are lovely couple and we will be back

Huw and Bernice are exceptional hosts — warm and thoughtful, with an attention to detail that makes you feel genuinely looked after without ever intruding on your privacy. The cabin is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Rustic but luxurious, cosy but perfectly designed for switching off completely. We loved cooking outdoors by the fire, waking to birdsong through the bedroom window, and spending evenings by the wood burner. Even the composting toilet — something we'd never used before — was a pleasant surprise: easy to use and honestly fresher than a regular loo! The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall too. St Ives, the Eden Project, the Minack Theatre, and Mousehole are all an easy drive away, and the free EV charging was a very welcome bonus.

We had a great few days at Little Menherion. We stayed in Log Jam and it was such a relaxing break. The cabin was in a lovely wooded area and had everything you need with a wood burning stove to keep it cosy. We took our dog with us and enjoyed the lovely secluded walks which were part of Little Menherion so ideal for dog walking. We have a reactive rescue dog and he loved it, he also enjoyed the walks to the local pub which was a bonus for us! I would definitely recommend this place if you have a nervous dog as the hosts Bernice and Huw are so accommodating and have experience of rescue dogs. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it!

This was the perfect place for me to escape normal life and recover from a hard year. It's been amazing to have so much quiet and solace to reflect. It's exactly what I was looking for and needed. Log Jam/Little M is perfect in every way. I love the care and attention to details in the cabin. Especially the type-written welcome note. I'll be back again, thank you both xx

We loved our stay in the Log Jam ! The cabin is very cozy and has absolutely everything you would ever need. The spaces are nicely divided and beautifully decorated, and we loved the hidden bedroom ! Angus the Loo was easier to use than expected and not scary at all 🙂 The walk to the cabin is very nice, you are surrounded by peace and quite , the forest is beautiful and sitting outside by the firepit making s'mores is just magical. There is no light pollution so if the skies are clear, you get to see the Milky Way at night ! We wish we could stay longer, thank you Bernice, Huw and Pan for creating such a wonderful place, if we are ever in Cornwall, we will definitely come back !

One of our favourite places to visit! This was our third time visiting Little M and have now tried all 3 of the cabins. Every single one is great I. Their own way. This time we stayed in Log Jam and it was spectacular - so warm and cosy and full of hidden gems! We miss it already and will be back as soon as we can!
