Hunkered down, in amongst the trees and gently raised above the woodland floor, Log Jam is a calm hand-crafted cabin retreat.

Designed for slowing down, switching off and letting the world outside fall away. Log Jam is also dog-friendly for 1 or 2 well behaved dogs when accompanied by their hoomans. This is a place for fewer plans, longer pauses and evenings shaped by firelight and birdsong, rather than clocks and technology. A space that quietens the noise, not just the day.

Log Jam is our most intimate, tucked away wild place. Elevated among the trees, quietly cocooned by it’s surroundings. A perfectly quiet place to immerse yourself in nature as you unplug from the modern world

With nothing to do but slow down, it invites you to embrace a slower pace of life. A perfect blend of adventure, relaxation and perspective shifting moments

Sustainably built. A way of doing things that is at the heart of Little M. Built by hand, every detail of Log Jam has been crafted with intention, from the materials used to the layout and purpose, harking back to simpler times.

Dog-friendly (and hooman friendly if you are a dog). It’s not an after thought.

It has a rhythm of its own. Plenty time to decompress, read, walk, sleep, repeat. The wild water pool, the hammock made for two, the swing seat… all there if you want them, but never demanding your attention.

Mornings arrive softly here. Light filters through the trees. The woodland stirs slowly. There’s no rush to do anything other than step out onto the deck, breathe in, and see how the day feels.
Inside Log Jam is warm and reassuring, intentionally uncluttered with everything you need and nothing you don’t. As the evening draws in, light the wood burner, cook something simple, or sit quietly and listen to the sounds of the nearby stream, watch the woodland settling down for the night.

I have some mobility challenges, would Log Jam be suitable for me?

When you park your car it’s about a 250m walk to your wild space. You will find a wheelbarrow at your parking space to transport your belongings, should you need it. This is yours for the duration of your stay, so you can make as many trips as you want. It is a gentle grassy downhill amble on the way there, across a clapper bridge through the woods, and uphill on the way back. If it is has been raining heavily, it can get a bit soggy so you should bring appropriate footwear. Equally if you think you will need assistance, if we are around we’d be more than happy to assist.
Log Jam has a kingsize cabin bed about 1m up and it is accessed via box steps to one side. The cabin itself is accessed on two sides via a few steps.
