Beyond a babbling brook, Log Jam exudes rustic charm and invites you to embrace a slower pace of life; to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings as you unplug from the demands of the modern world. The cabin is thoughtfully designed and harks back to pioneer times. Its interior boasts a wonderfully cosy atmosphere, complete with a wood burner, a bountiful wall of hand-picked books, and a plush leather Chesterfield sofa

It won’t take long before you find yourself absorbed in the pages of a good book from the curated cabin library. Or you collapse, dreamily onto the cosy leather sofa, gazing out through the expansive picture windows at the exciting green world beyond. All the while, the crackling wood burner casts a cosy glow, beckoning you to escape the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary.
You indulge your culinary desires in the fully equipped kitchen, where a wood burner-powered oven adds rustic charm to your cooking adventures. Even better, cook in the Dutch oven over the bouncing flames of the campfire and appreciate the flavours of the wild under a starry night sky.

But how long will it take you to unveil the hidden door that leads to the secret bedroom, where an elevated king-sized bed awaits. The perfect place to relax as you witness breath-taking sunsets through the picture window, the frame for some unforgettable moments.
Be sure to brave the wild side of Log Jam by taking a plunge in the wild jacuzzi, an invigorating experience, a short stroll away in the nearby babbling brook. Be warned it is filled and heated by mother nature herself.

Sustainability lies at the core of Log Jam’s design, hand-built with the help of volunteers, the cabin offers an eco-friendly retreat that exudes green credentials. From it’s locally sourced larch and douglas fir wood, to it’s sheeps wool and wood-pulp insulation; from it’s upcycled double glazing to it’s repurposed miners’ lamps. The commitment to sustainability extends beyond the cabin and is completely site wide. You’ll feel it. You’ll know it. You’ll live it.
A wildcation at Log Jam promises a blend of adventure, relaxation, and perspective-shifting moments. Escape the ordinary, find inspiration in the untamed wilderness, and create memories that will weave their way into your heart and stay there for ever.

Our guests say the loveliest things in Log Jams’s Guest book
The day a heron came to visit
Thank you for a wonderful experience staying in the hand made cabin. Crispin had fun mastering the log oven! We made mini pizzas in the dish and croissants, which were a success! We saw a massive beautiful heron outside the bedroom window and it was amazing to switch off our phones and connect with nature. It felt so special it was hand made with such care. We will be recommending it to all!! And would love to revisit. Thank you!!
– Crispin & Charlotte
Walking barefoot through the woodland to the wild jacuzzi
Thank you for a restful and calming staycation. We love a rustic meets luxury woodland cabin and Log Jam is those things and more. The little touches are everything and the bed is SO comfy! Walking barefoot through the woodland to the wild jacuzzi for a dip and back again to the fire to warm up was the highlight for us. You cannot beat the sound of the water and birdsong. The cabin smells devine when you walk back in, like warm pine. You guys are amazing hosts and so are the animals, we will be back!!!

Lots to see and do

Places we went:
A new beginning
Thanks for providing this magical space for us to share and begin our new chapter together. Being nestled away in the woods gave us such peace & tranquility after a hectic few months. The love you guys have poured into this place is evident & we hope to take some of that feeling with us into the next part of our lives.
It was lovely to meet you all (including cheeky Pan!) & we wish you health, happiness & good fortune for the future.
